Reflexology:
Cultivating Your Innate Network, Gloria Ng
Over 7200 nerve endings are in
EACH foot. Reflexology is a living ancient selfcare tool that various
sources trace back to Egypt, India, Tibet, China. Reflexology is known to
deepen relaxation, improve blood circulation (including the feet and hands
of diabetics), help detoxification, and normalize hormonal secretions
(resulting in better sleep even among chronic insomniacs). Cancer patients
in studies also report improved quality of life; and reduction in anxiety,
pain, and nausea. Babies calm down. Pets stop wheezing, even at the onset
of asthma attacks. Learn basic principles, techniques, and applications of
reflexology in your own life. This hands-on experiential workshop requires
attention and intention; no note-taking please. You will remember and take
with you exactly what you need to employ and embody at this time. Please
arrive on time. We start promptly.

“Touch

Research on the impact of
massage and safe touch has shown significant positive impact on stress
related health problems, as well as depression and social isolation. We
will explore the impact of stress on lesbian health, report upon recent
research related to massage and its impact on overall health and
wellbeing, and teach participants self-massage techniques. We will also
have a team of on-site massage therapists available at the workshop.

Healing through Writing and Meditation

To enhance one's health and
wellness, participants will be provided basic information about the Hindu
system of chakras, seven energy centers located throughout the body. Then
various using grounding and writing techniques, participants will be
guided to bring forward and release energy blocks due to trauma and abuse.
Focus will be on finding your Inner Voice/Inner Wisdom, a necessary step
in the process of self-healing.
