Arm
yourself with the information needed to protect yourself and plan for a
healthy future!
In a changing
political and cultural climate, what do members of the LBTQ (Lesbian,
Bisexual, Transgender and Queer) communities need to know to make the right
choices? How can we best protect ourselves and the ones we love?
Unfortunately, important conversations and decisions about life transitions
(ex: coupling, children, aging) typically do not occur until disaster
strikes. Take control of your health, life and future by understanding your
rights and responsibilities now. Join us for an educational day of
workshops, lectures and socializing.
Topics include
Coupling, Marriage, Parenting, Having Children (alternative insemination and
adoption), Aging, Substance Abuse and many more. Please see our “schedule at
a glance” for a complete list of breakout options.
Co-sponsored by the
National Center for Lesbian
Rights (NCLR).

The Lesbian Health
Research Center’s annual conferences are the cornerstone of our mission to
take lesbian health information 'out of the closet' and into the hands of
community members and health care providers. The goal of this event is to
bring together representatives from leading health-related organizations,
government agencies and community groups to provide information related to
the health care of lesbians. The signature of our conference is our
commitment to combining public health professionals with the general
community to exchange research, ideas and experiences.
